I have done freelance writing for Grid Magazine, Abscent, and Fooditor in addition to writing for a newspaper and online publication while an undergrad. Mandatory reporting bill revised after criticism
Bill that would require reporting of campus sexual assaults revised. In an attempt to make college campuses safer Delaware legislators proposed a bill that would have required reporting of university sexual assaults to police. It received so much negative feedback that legislators worked to change it, recently revealing a revised version of the bill.

Students join Clinton onstage at Wilmington rally
Students joined Clinton as she campaigned in Wilmington ahead of Delaware’s Primaries. Hillary Clinton was joined onstage by university students at a rally held in Wilmington to help garner last minute votes ahead of Tuesday’s primary elections in Delaware. Before heading to Philadelphia later that night, Clinton stopped at packed World Cafe Live at the Queen Theater in Wilmington, which had to turn away supporters after reaching capacity.

Student body president election contested for first time in four years
Candidates Ellie Halfacre and Matt Rojas spoke about their platforms at an event Wednesday. After four straight years of single-candidate elections, two opposing candidates are running for the position of student body president. Matt Rojas, a junior economics major, and Ellie Halfacre, a junior international relations and public policy major, will face each other in this week’s election for the student government association’s (SGA) student body president.

Douglass’ exit marks another university administrative loss
After this semester, Scott Douglass will be making his second exit from the university, the first taking place in 1976 after he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in political science. Being a gluten-free college student is hard when you love pizza. Like really love pizza. Like will fold a pizza in half taco-style and eat it whole, love pizza. What’s harder is finding gluten-free pizza that’s actually good. You need one that doesn’t taste like a piece of cardboard, has a crust thicker than a piece of paper, and isn’t $18 dollars for a 12″ pie.

Honors Program to raise GPA requirements
The Honors Program is buckling down on GPA requirements, increasing minimum GPAs across all classes. For the 491 honors students who step foot on campus this fall, there will be a higher standard put on their academic performance after the Faculty Senate approved an increase to the Honors Program GPA requirement.

I am currently seeking full-time employment in the media industry. I have had experience writing for print publications, online publications, and compiling case management stories for a new business. In addition to the freelance work I have done I wrote for for two publications, The Review and Spoon University, while an undergrad at the University of Delaware. At The Review, I went from being a contributing writer to Senior Reporter, to Associate News Editor in a span of a year. I wrote multiple pieces for Spoon University, a site with content produced by college students across the country that averages over 1 million monthly unique visitors. I have experience with social media sites including Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. I currently manage a food instagram account, @didyousaygf, that has more than 1,000 followers.
